Year 8 gear up with VEX equipment!
In Year 8’s Technology course, half of this year’s students have recently rotated into Robotics. These future AI engineers and tech wizards eagerly unwrapped their VEX equipment and dove right into the construction of their set designs. The theme of learning focuses on Mechanisms, or looking at the motion involved with gears, levers, pulleys, lifts, cranks and linkages.

This week our school will complete and submit to the MOE and OPEC our plan for reopening our school. Once reviewing our opening plans to keep our community safe from COVID-19 infections and inspecting our two campuses, we can then receive approval to open. A Hybrid Model will allow parents to decide where they want their children to learn from safely. Meet Mr Derek, our new Head of Science. Mr Derek has an expanse of experience, including over 30 years in education in some of the best schools in the UK, accompanied by a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and a Master’s Degree in Education. Mr Derek also has IB qualifications in Physics and TOK along with IGCSE experience.
