The Performing Arts Festival presented an excellent opportunity for students to finally showcase their talents to our school community again.
Over the past two weeks, Regents International School Pattaya has had the pleasure of hosting Performing Arts Alive! a Performing Arts Festival spanning two weeks, including three sell-out shows in which more than one hundred and fifty musicians, actors, and dancers aged 8 -18 took part in. This was a first of its kind celebration of Performing Arts at Regents.
Over the past two years, due to COVID enforced concert cancellations, chances to perform in real time have been limited. The Performing Arts Festival presented an excellent opportunity for students to finally showcase their talents to our school community again.
"I am so proud of our Performing Arts team for putting together the Performing Arts Alive! Festival to showcase our outstanding and passionate young musicians and artists."
Sarah Osborne-James, School Principal, Regents International School Pattaya.
The Performing Arts Festival, one of this year’s most anticipated events, saw Performing Arts enthusiasts from Regents gather from 30 March to 5 April for an array of different performances including The Battle of the Bands, House Dance and Talent Show, Douglas Maxwell’s play “Too Fast” and Contemporary Music Alive!
The shows consisted of solo, duet and ensemble performances by our dedicated students. Fire House were the double champions of Regents 2021 House Battle of the Bands and House Dance; and Satoe and Ananya were the winners of this year's Talent Show with their compilation of Disney, Anime and other popular songs.
"We were ecstatic to present this two-week festival incorporating the Battle of the Bands, House Dance, Douglas Maxwell’s play “Too Fast” and Contemporary Music Alive! Performing Arts inside and outside the classroom enriches the lives not only of the students and staff involved but gives audiences the opportunity to enjoy an evening out and share as a community the power of Dance, Drama and Music."
Mr. Ross Gerritsen, Performing Arts Director - Regents International School Pattaya.
