Regents is a hit amongst parents In a recent survey, parents revealed how much they appreciate the work that goes on in the school Dear Parents, Last June we asked you all to complete a survey online – we wanted to hear your views on what you felt we were doing well within school and what we needed to work harder at. Thank you to everyone who completed that survey.

I am pleased to write that across a great many areas of school life, we received a fantastic approval rating from our community of parents. Here are the highlights:

I am really pleased with this feedback and I hope you will join me in sharing with others the great success which – as a whole community of pupils, parents and staff – we are enjoying at Regents.

There are a number of aspects of school life which scored lower in your eyes and I can assure you that these will be addressed. In fact, some were addressed even before the survey results had been compiled:

• Only 68% of parents were satisfied/very satisfied with our indoor sports facilities. The new all-weather running track which went in over the summer vacation goes a long way to giving Regents the outstanding sports facilities to which we aspire – but we will be looking at the indoor facilities over the course of this academic year.
• Only 39% of parents were satisfied/very satisfied with the cafeteria food we served-up last year. We agreed with your dissatisfaction and, since the survey was conducted, we’ve brought in our new catering firm, Epicure Catering.
• Only 48% of parents were satisfied/very satisfied with the school bus service. Over the summer we signed a new contract, which has brought in a suite of new buses, all of which will soon feature two-way cameras and GPS.
• Only 70% of parents were satisfied or very satisfied with our IT teaching facilities. In the financial year to 31st August 2014 we invested THB 9.2 million in IT teaching facilities and upgrade to our IT infrastructure.

I truly believe Regents is a great school but I also believe that it can get better. My team and I will work hard to make sure that happens but parents are also a part of the process and I would welcome your continued feedback.
