“My name is Chayada, my friends know me as JJ. I have lived in the boarding house since I was in Year 3. I was seven years old when I first came here. I was very excited when I came and very nervous. Initially I didn’t have any friends apart from Miss Avril who helped me all the time. Once I had met lots of friends I felt more confident. In boarding we have times and rules so that everybody in boarding knows when it is roll call time and dinner time, breakfast time and prep time.”
Chayada (JJ)
JJ has always been a quiet student and has always been positive and caring. She became a Primary prefect who guided the primary pupils when they joined boarding. She won the ‘Boarder of the Year’ prize three times as she is an outstanding pupil who copes superbly with all the changes in her life and is still able to care for newcomers to Elizabeth House. JJ is an outstanding dancer, a sincere friend and a considerate person. She tries hard with her studies and is always polite and friendly. I love to watch her dance and play her ukulele, just another of JJ’s many abilities.
