Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
Our students recognise the importance of our school values and are generous when embracing and representing our values of Kindness, Honesty and Respect with each other and our wider community. On Monday, 9th November, we will be celebrating Kindness Day as a whole school community.
We are raising awareness of the importance of kindness in our everyday lives, whilst highlighting all the wonderful things we do as a school community to help and care for others. Therefore, on this day, all students are invited to wear yellow to school (Parents can also wear yellow as you drop your children off). We ask, that when students dress in their normal clothes, that they consider the culture and traditions of the country in which we live.
The BIS Abu Dhabi Service team will be sharing ways with students on how they can spread kindness within their year group and across the school, whether students are learning online or with us in the classroom. Watch out for further details coming soon to see how students can get involved this year and for news from the day on our social media platforms!
In addition, we are asking our school community to take part in our #bisbekind initiative. Students and families are encouraged to capture acts of kindness that they are involved in, both inside and outside of school, and send the pictures to bisbekind@bisad.ae so we can showcase all of them. #BISBeKind
The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) was deeply honoured to welcome Her Highness Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to its campus on Thursday, 17 April 2025. Her Highness, President & CEO of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) and The Climate Tribe, is a distinguished entrepreneur, thought leader, and researcher with a deep commitment to sustainability, climate change, and gender equity.
At The British International School Abu Dhabi, we believe that education is not just about academic success—it’s about nurturing compassionate, responsible young people who understand the importance of giving back. This Ramadan, I have been truly moved by the way our students have embraced the spirit of the holy month, demonstrating kindness, generosity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
