Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
We are back! The next event is a 5km Virtual Race, as part of the NAE Global Sports Competition. This event starts this Saturday, 17th October and finishes on Monday, 26th October.
The 2km participants were absolutely incredible and we want our team to get bigger and bigger!
What do we need to do?
Students and their families are invited to run, walk, skip, or jog 5km, record their time, and take a photograph of themselves, or even better, the whole family completing the distance!
For each competitor we record, the school gains a point, and the school with the most points wins a prize. The highest-ranking individual competitors will win individual medals.
What ages can compete?
There are different age categories to compete in, starting from 5 years of age. Please make sure students complete the run with an adult.
We are also continuing with our additional ‘adult’ category, allowing staff and parents to get involved!
When do we need to record the time by?
All entries must be completed by Monday, 26th October 2020.
I am not very fast; can I take part?
YES! This is all about our community coming together. Win, lose or draw it is the taking part that counts and we are so excited to be back together. Please get involved! Please share your photographs with us! Be ambitious. We are better together!
But Mr. Baker, its half term!
I know, and students deserve a huge rest because of the amazing effort they have all put into the school term so far... but after the 5km!
It would be great for students to get physically active and to stay away from those computer screens for as long as possible during this break.
We did it! Where do we record the time?

I was really touched by Áine’s newsletter piece last week, posing the question: ‘What would I tell my younger self?’
I spent some time afterwards thinking about my own parenting journey, and what it’s all been about, now that my two are adults and have ‘flown the nest’. Parenting isn’t easy for any of us, and that’s true even if you’re an experienced school leader – at home, I’m just Dad.
You might have seen the trend going around - “If I could tell my younger self one thing…” - a moment to reflect, to offer advice we wish we’d heard earlier, or to remind ourselves of what truly matters.
As students prepare to cross some of the biggest milestones in school life, it feels like the perfect time to pause and join in that conversation. But it’s not just our students who are preparing — so are we, as parents. These milestones don’t just belong to them. We’re living every part of it too: the anticipation, the pride, the nerves, and the quiet hopes. Sometimes, it’s the hardest thing in the world — to watch them take these big steps, to stay strong when they wobble, to let go just a little more. It’s a milestone for us as much as it is for them — and we’re walking it together.
