NBPS Clubs for Middle Schoolers
From our award-winning Junior Thespians to the Robotics Team, students often travel and compete with other schools in the area. In addition to a wide variety of athletic teams, the following clubs are available to Middle School students.
Art Club/NJAHS
National Junior Art Honor Society Club nurtures creativity and fosters community in students who want to have artistic fun. This club encourages students in the creation of special art projects and a variety of art activities. First trimester is “Sculpt-it”, second trimester is “Paint-it”, and third trimester is “Craft-it”.
Chess Club
Chess club aims to improve chess skills and allow students to practice against one another. All levels are encouraged to join.
FLL Robotics
FIRST LEGO League Challenge inspires young people to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEAM learning with robotics.
French Club
French Club aims to teach students about France and the francophone world. Interacting with shows, music and food.
FTC Robotics
FIRST Tech Challenge teams are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles.
Garden Club
Garden Club provides members the opportunity to work and learn in the alternative garden after school. The garden consists of vertical aeroponic systems, an apiary and two hydroponic raft beds along with raised self- wicking soil planters.
Hebrew Club
National Junior Honor Society is a nationally recognized group of students who exemplify service, character, leadership, and scholarship. Open to seventh and eighth graders with a cumulative GPA of 3.85 or higher and an exemplary behavior record, NJHS invites students to join each spring and participate in community service on and off campus.
Junior Model United Nations (MUN)
Students represent countries’ perspectives to debate and discuss global issues and improve collaboration skills to come up with diplomatic solutions
Junior Science Research Club
Experience science in a new and exciting way! Providing a place to answer science questions, engage in solving real life problems and join academic competitions.
Junior Thespians
Junior Thespians enables students to continue their study and practice of the finer points of theater and the varied facets of dramatic presentations in a nurturing environment. They practice one act plays, solo and ensemble performances, costume and set design, in preparation for competition in district meets.
Kindness Matters 365 Club
Kindness club plans service projects to help spread kindness at school and in the local community.
SAVE Promise Club
An official partner with the Sandy Hook Promise organization, the Feltingoff SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) Promise Club is a student organization that strives to decrease the potential for violence in our schools and communities by promoting meaningful student involvement, education on the signs of social isolation. Mental health awareness, and service opportunities in efforts to provide safer environments for youth and prevent violence.
Student Government
Student Government meets as an advisory class to learn about government and plan activities and events for all middle school students. Seventh and eighth students with a minimum 3.0 GPA are eligible to run for election each April. Sixth graders are elected in September.
Zoology Club
Explore animal behavior, anatomy and physiology.
