The students set off very early this morning and have now arrived safely in RAK eager to start their adventure.
Day 2
Lots of trekking in RAK yesterday and today demonstrating some excellent navigation skills and teamwork to pitch tents in windy, but dry conditions. After dinner and repacking equipment all is ready for the qualifying adventurous journey after a day of water sports tomorrow.
Day 3
Both schools enjoyed a fun day out on the water! Half the team experienced kayaking and stand up paddle boarding in the surf! The second half had the challenge of building sea worthy rafts and playing games on top of the kayaks. There were lots of smiles and wet clothes!
The afternoon was spent hard at work planning their routes for the Qualifying Journey starting tomorrow. They all head out early morning for what we hope will be a truly lovely hike in the mountains.
Walking up to the hidden village with heavy packs but big smiles on the first day of our Qualifying Journey. They have enjoyed a camp fire & marshmallows before heading to bed early!
