The last step of the CAS service learning experience is 'Demonstration'. This requires students to show what and how they learned and what they accomplished through demonstration and communication. On 15 March, the Class of 2021 individually and virtually presented their CAS Showcases and we are so proud of how well our senior students demonstrated their learning. Here one of our senior students shares his CAS experience with us.
Recently, Grade 6 student, Mohak, was recognised as a Highly Commended Author within the 11-14 age category in the Creative Writing Competition. As students across all 69 Nord Anglia schools took part in this competition, this was an amazing achievement!
On 4 May each year, the Netherlands stops and pays tribute to the fallen during Remembrance Day, with ceremonies taking place in towns and cities throughout the country. The following day is Liberation, or Freedom Day and it is often seen more as a celebration. Remembering what was... and then celebrating (or rather being thankful for) what is.
The purpose of CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) is to provide students with opportunities to learn from practical experience, personal involvement in activities that are real and purposeful, and provide significant outcomes for the student and the community.
