Sophie Bi

Sophie has been a teaching member of NAIS Pudong for almost 20 years and worked initially as the Head of Mandarin in Early Years.

Since moving into the Primary Mandarin team, she has been teaching and developing the Native program from Years 1 to 6. Sometimes she is also involved in Mandarin teaching in Secondary.

Sophie received an award for “Excellence in teaching” at NAIS Pudong in 2019. In the same year she was recognised and celebrated twice more, being awarded ‘Excellent Teacher of Kangqiao Town’ followed by the ‘Outstanding Teacher Award’ in the International School Essay Competition.

Throughout her time at NAIS Pudong, Sophie has emphasised Mandarin reading and writing skills, including the learning of ancient poems. The students enjoy her Mandarin learning atmosphere.
