Matt is a passionate, fun and dedicated teacher who derives great satisfaction from providing students with those "lightbulb" moments of understanding and witnessing their progression over time. He strives to create an engaging and safe environment filled with curiosity and thought-provoking questions, in order to stimulate students and cater to the needs of all.
Matt graduated from Newcastle University with a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working as a test analyst in London, he pursued a career in Mathematics teaching. Matt joined NAIS Pudong in 2024 and has previous teaching experience in the UK and Vietnam.
Matt's experiences of working in Vietnam, America, New Zealand and France have instilled in him a desire to work amongst other cultures. In his spare time, Matt enjoys keeping healthy by swimming and going to the gym, playing the occasional video game, and sharing his love of cooking with family and friends.
