Edwin Mapfuwa

Edwin is a dedicated and experienced science teacher having joined the school in 2022. Edwin believes that as long as teachers can connect with their students on a deeper level and believe in them even when they don’t believe in themselves, students will eventually realise their potential. With nine years of teaching experience, Edwin has had the opportunity to work in countries including South Africa and China. He has taught multiple curricula, including AP, A-Level, IB, and within Key Stages 3 and 4. He also has experience with Chinese bilingual education. His international experience brings a valuable cultural perspective to his teaching practice.

Outside of work, Edwin enjoys spending quality time with his family, reading, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through fitness programs. He also has a passion for learning about different cultures through their food, a hobby that has been particularly enjoyable for him and his family since moving to Shanghai.
