NAIS Pudong Scholarships
In dance with Ashely, students explored an exciting blend of movement and athletics — discovering how dance can make sports even more dynamic and enjoyable. From expressive warm-ups to creative choreography inspired by sporting actions, the sessions brought energy, rhythm, and fun to physical education in a whole new way!
Drama Sessions
In drama with Aurea, our Year 7s and Year 9s learned how to channel everyday emotions like frustration and complaining into powerful expressions on stage. Through imaginative exercises and games, students developed greater confidence in communication, empathy, and storytelling — all while having a blast! The Year 8s used their lesson to demonstrate their skill and understanding of movement and character.
The Great Gatsby Rehearsal
Aurea also offered advice to bring out a whole new level of depth and performance to the Great Gatsby production. Having someone with Juilliard expertise guiding our students was an incredible opportunity, and we can’t wait to see the results on stage!
Teachers' Development Training
Teachers also received professional development training from the Juilliard specialists, gaining fresh strategies to integrate performing arts into everyday learning.
We are so proud of the creativity, enthusiasm, and courage shown by our students this week — and incredibly grateful to Juilliard for bringing such a vibrant artistic experience to our community!
Last Sunday, NAIS Pudong had a Spring Fling filled with laughter and joy! International families from Shanghai gathered on campus and had a wonderful family day with their children and parents on a sunny spring day.
Football season this year was fantastic! This was the first U19 girls team we’ve had in many years, and I’m in complete admiration of many girls in our team giving the sport a go for the first time, bringing football back to life for us!
From 11 to 13 March 2025, a group of our creative students had the incredible opportunity to participate in a the NAE Regional Performing Arts Festival in Shanghai alongside 11 Nord Anglia schools from across China! With over 475 young artists immersing themselves in drama, dance, music, puppetry, short film making, physical theatre, and more, the festival was a true celebration of creativity and collaboration.
During the current academic year, we have been gradually transitioning from a House-based system to a Communities-based structure, designed to align more closely with the school’s aims and values—developing creative, confident, and considerate learners prepared for their futures.
