SISAC Basketball

The boys‘ basketball team has had a mixed start to the season. Despite a tough opening match where we lost 46-38 to YCIS, the team showed remarkable resilience, bouncing back to secure a 28-17 victory against SMIC the following week. Casper and Lucas have been standout performers, leading the scoring effort, while the team’s improved defense made all the difference against SMIC.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about this week’s FOBISIA Basketball competition. It‘s another great opportunity to grow both as individual players and as a team.

Swimming

Our sincere gratitude to Alice’s grandparents for taking part in this event; our students have gained a wonderful cultural context from the day. We also hope to see more grandparents visiting the campus to share their life stories and engage in discussions on various topics with our students soon.

This week, our swimmers competed in Round 2 of the Shanghai Swim League at Dulwich PD, and their hard work truly shone through. With 10 swimmers participating in 27 races, we achieved an incredible 19 Personal Bests-a testament to the dedication and perseverance of our athletes.

Lane 5: Boxun

Individual highlights included Boxun’s 3rd place finish in the 50m Butterfly and Aomi’s impressive 4th place in the 100m Breaststroke. A big congratulations to all our swimmers on their amazing efforts!

Netball

Our U19 netball team took part in a tournament featuring four schools, finishing as runners-up! It was an exciting day filled with teamwork and determination. Despite limited pre-season training, the team impressed with their skill, adaptability, and unbreakable spirit, playing back-to-back games with enthusiasm and laughter.

We're especially proud of Aomi in Year 11, who was voted MVP for her tenacity and composure against tough opponents, despite having only one year of experience. Several new players also stepped up, delivering impressive performances under the expert guidance of Mrs. Nati.

Congratulations to our sister school, BISS Puxi, on their well-deserved win. We’re eager to train harder, polish our techniques, and aim for first place in the next games. Well done, team!

Keep up the fantastic work, everyone!
