NAIS Pudong Scholarships
On 12th June, NAIS Pudong invited parents of Early Years and Primary students to attend the Term 3 Showcase and Year 6 Graduation Ceremony.
The day began with a thoughtful Coffee Morning organised by our Parent and Community Association (PCA). Parents gathered on the lawn, enjoying coffee, tea, and an assortment of pastries in the sunshine while engaging in pleasant conversations with other community members. This delightful start set the tone for the day’s events.
Following the Coffee Morning, parents entered their children’s classrooms to participate in various activities. They engaged in crafts and games prepared by our students, while also being given an overview of what the children had been learning over the term so far. Our youngest students demonstrated their planting projects and the process of creating fabric dyed with flower juice. Reception and lower primary students, alongside their parents, took part in end-of-term quizzes and creative learning exercises involving 3D thinking.
For the older primary students, the showcase included presentations of projects they had completed during the term. These projects ranged from constructing houses suited to specific environments to learning about pricing and sales. The primary school corridors were adorned with displays of student work and assignments completed throughout the academic year, along with photos documenting classroom activities captured by teachers and teaching assistants. This allowed parents to easily view and appreciate the achievements of all the students during this period.
During the morning assembly, the Early Years children performed songs and musical pieces for the audience. At the Year 6 Graduation Ceremony Mr Richard Thompson, Head of Primary, presented each graduating student with a certificate, congratulating them on completing this stage of their education and embarking on the next chapter of their journey.
Students also participated in a "Student Reflection" segment, where they expressed heartfelt thanks to those who have supported them, reflecting on their primary school experience. The ceremony concluded on a poignant note, with parents filled with excitement, pride, and joy.
We wish our primary school graduates a smooth transition to their next stage of education and hope all our students have a happy and restful summer break!
