NAIS Pudong Scholarships
As part of our commitment to our students as they approach some key decision-making points in their education journey, we have collaborated with some industry experts who will come into our school and deliver some inspirational and incredibly useful presentations.
The presentations will be delivered by experts that range from General Managers and Department Leads, to Legal Professionals and University Lecturers. They also come from a variety of industries, including biotech, legal, engineering/motor, and international relations.
The aim is to provide some useful insight into different career pathways and to highlight the types of work that is involved in the different roles and industries. Student should take inspiration from these leaders and hopefully take away some useful pointers and advice as part of their own career pathways which are just starting to open up.
The talks will be attended by our senior students, with the first being given on Friday 26th April by Ms Starry Xie, a department lead at the global medicines and vaccines producer, Pfizer. The following session, which will be open to a wider range of students on Monday 6th May, will be given by Mr Julian Blissett, the General Manager of General Motors in China.
Our mission is to ensure that we develop creative, confident, and considerate learners who are prepared for the futures, and these talks are perfectly suited to support that. Our advance thanks go out to all our speakers, and we can’t wait to welcome them to our campus soon.
In the final of our series of alumni spotlight articles, we speak with Matthew Ward, a professional football player in England who spent six years at NAIS Pudong before departing in 2019 to take up his current role as an elite sports star!
At NAIS Pudong, we strive to achieve our values, one element of which is building confidence in our students to help them better prepare for life after education. But what about building the confidence to question one’s approach and strategy in tacking tasks or ideas?
On the last day of Term One, Principal Diane Vaughan conducted the termly Principal's Awards, this time celebrating the outstanding contributions of students who exemplify one of the school's core values of being considerate.
On 9th and 10th of December years 7-9 students were given the chance to debate on a given present-day topic. A debate is a structured discussion where individuals present and defend their viewpoints on a topic, aiming to persuade others with well-supported arguments.
