We are delighted to launch our new scholarships programme, with applications now open for students looking to join Y1 or above from January 2024 onwards.
We aim to attract the best possible talent to NAIS Pudong– students who embody our ethos and values - and who we feel can make a significant impact on our school. We strive to develop students who are creative, confident and considerate and who are prepared for their futures beyond education, and are looking for scholars who can demonstrate these traits, or who have the potential to do so.
To support these goals, our diverse scholarship offerings cover traditional academic talent, sports stars, performing artists, and those who demonstrate outstanding leadership. The scholarships will initially be awarded on a three-year basis with the potential to renew in some cases. The tuition fee discounts offered to successful applicants can range up to 50%, with an annual review of student performance.
These awards will be made on merit for students who excel in one of more subjects (including Maths, English, Science, or other traditional academic subjects) and who aim to embody our ethos and values. We expect scholars to contribute to the school community and inspire others to develop further. Our academic scholars may be able to utilise our unique collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) depending on their subject skills.
Students who excel in one or more sports may apply for this scholarship, with an expectation that students can demonstrate their ability by way of awards and/or contribution to sports in or out of school. While all traditional sports are considered, we will also accept applications from students whose talent lies in non-traditional sports too. Each case will be graded on its own merit and judged based on their specific sport. Our sports scholars may be able to utilise our unique collaboration with IMG Academy, depending on their chosen sport(s).
Students with a flair for music, drama or dance are welcome to apply for this scholarship. Eligible applicants are likely to have a specific grade or award within their chosen area (such as ABRSM, LAMDA or other equivalent), and would be expected to involve themselves fully in the school’s performing arts opportunities. Our performing arts scholars may be able to utilise our unique collaboration with The Juilliard School, depending on their specialism.
While broad in scope, applicants for this scholarship should already have strong leadership skills and be able to evidence these by way of involvement in projects, events, debates, competitions, or in a variety of other ways inside and outside of school. We will also consider those who show a real potential for leadership where appropriate. Successful applicants will be expected to lead in a variety of ways in school and support others in doing so. Our leadership scholars may be able to utilise any of our previously mentioned unique collaborations, or via our dedicated partnership with UNICEF.
To apply, you can click here, complete the Scholarship Application form, and submit it to our Admissions Team along with all relevant supporting documentation. These will be reviewed alongside the standard school application form (including eligibility to join NAIS Pudong), including previous school reports and reference(s).
Upon receipt of the scholarship application, our Scholarship Committee will review all submitted documents and if successful at this stage, the student will be invited to participate in a dedicated interview. Awarded scholarships and discounts will be in place from the first day in school for the specific period.
