As we get ever closer to the official first day of the new academic year on Monday, it was wonderful to be able to open the campus today to welcome our new students and their families for an orientation morning.

As we have just completed our second week of the academic year, I have enjoyed spending time in classes speaking to the students and observing lots of great teaching and learning taking place.
This week we have been focusing on manners and have been reminding our students of this. We have been celebrating polite and considerate manners such as holding the door, using ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ and we have especially been encouraging polite dining manners whilst in The Hub.
With our Year 6 back from Project week, preparations are now in full swing for the Year 5 and 6 production of Bah Humbug! This is a performance of the classic Charles Dicken’s story, A Christmas Carol. With our school growing in numbers, I felt it was important for us to continue our drive to give every child a quality opportunity to perform on stage and so we have split our Key Stage 2 in half. Year 5 and 6 will be onstage this term, with Year 3 and 4 entertaining us in the Summer term.
