As a school, we commit to keeping safety as a top priority. We believe a safe school links with an overall positive environment, which enables our staff and students to succeed to their fullest potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Part of our overall approach to the Safety is ‘Safeguarding’, where promoting the welfare of children is a fundamental priority for us, and we believe it is everyone’s responsibility to support this. Our guiding principle throughout is that of ‘the best interests of the child’.
We have a team of Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) at our school, who work closely together with related staff to ensure that we place student safety and wellbeing as the cornerstone of our approach.

As a DSL Team, we are keen to strengthen our links with the parent community by working together to promote a safe environment for our students, inside and outside of school. We hope by sending out regular updates, we are able to raise an awareness of safeguarding practices that we can address collaboratively, and through a proactive and supportive stance.
Stay tuned for our upcoming safeguarding newsletters! In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of our DSLs.
