Good afternoon Parents,
One of my biggest responsibilities each year is to find the very best teachers to work with your children. It is probably the most important, most critical factor is ensuring success in the classroom and beyond for our students. We are currently very busy recruiting new teachers to join our team next year, and although it involves a huge amount of research, of discussion and time to evaluate, it is vital that we do this thoroughly to be able to hire the most experienced, most qualified and most passionate educators for LIS. We have seen a large number of applications for the few positions we have available, and I hope to be able to share with you news of our new teachers in the coming months.
May I remind you all to complete the Parent Survey. If we meet our target, we will have a non-uniform day for the students, which they are understandably very excited about. As I have discussed, your feedback and opinion matters, so please do spend a little time to send us your thoughts.
As we approach the Spring Festival, please follow the requirements we send regarding travel and reporting of any travel that you take. The advice from both the national and local governments is to avoid any non-essential travel, and to adhere to precautions suggested to minimise the spread of the virus. We want all of our community to stay healthy and well, and to return to school after the holiday. More details will be sent out early next week.
Have a great weekend,
Tom Ferguson
