Helping students achieve their highest potential and preparing them for future academic challenges is at the core of our teaching at LCIS. This dedication is reflected in the exceptional accomplishments of two of our 2024 IGCSE students, Izze and Sofia. They received the prestigious Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards for earning the highest marks in Switzerland in Physics, English Literature, and Geography during last summer’s exams. Their success highlights both their personal commitment to excellence and the unwavering support and expertise of our teachers.
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is a globally recognised qualification that lays a strong academic foundation for students aged 14-16. More than just an assessment, the IGCSE fosters critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and independent learning—skills that are essential for success in higher education and beyond. Whether pursuing the IB Diploma or university studies, students who excel in their IGCSEs are well-prepared for the challenges ahead. Izze and Sofia’s remarkable results demonstrate the effectiveness of focused, high-quality academic preparation.
To celebrate their success, LCIS had the honour of hosting Nicola Fox from Pearson, who personally presented Izze and Sofia with their certificates and medals. This moment of recognition was not just about their impressive scores but also about celebrating their dedication, resilience, and love for learning.
