LCIS’ ADMISSIONS CRITERIA

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

LCIS is an academically ambitious and non-selective school. We offer places all year round to students already in Switzerland and those currently living abroad.

We know that some children need extra English as an Additional Language (EAL) support to accelerate their learning development. LCIS is committed to meeting individual needs, and we’ll help you to find the right level of support for your child.

A place at LCIS is offered after we’re evaluated your family’s application form and your child’s previous school reports. Enrolment also depends on the availability of places in the year group requested.

Applying to La Côte International School is easy:
  • The process begins with a school tour – you can either visit us in Switzerland or join us for a virtual meeting.
  • Children applying for an Early Years placement will join their peers for an in-class assessment.
  • Families of Primary and Secondary students will meet with the school head to discuss their needs and expectations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What documents do I need to apply?

    Alongside your online application form, you’ll also need to provide the following documents:

    A copy of your child’s passport.
    A recent photo of your child.
    Your child’s most recent school reports.
    A copy of your child’s health insurance card.
    A residency permit (once you are in Switzerland).
    Specialist and/or medical reports relating to your child’s needs (if applicable).

  • How long does the La Côte International School admissions process take?
    Once you’ve submitted your application form and supporting documentation, our friendly staff will get back to you within 24 hours (excluding weekends).
  • How does the application process work if my company is paying the tuition fees?
    Our goal is to make the application process as seamless as possible. If your company is paying your child’s tuition fees, our friendly admissions and finance teams will liaise with them directly, allowing you to concentrate on your child’s wellbeing and education. 
  • Can my child join LCIS during the academic year?
    Yes, absolutely, you can apply to join LCIS at any time – we accept new students all year round. That said, we do advise families to enrol their child at the start of the school year (every August), if possible.
