Owen has recently joined the team at ISM and is excited to immerse himself within the school community. He is passionate about all forms of learning, but is particularly invested in the multi-disciplinary aspect of STEAM activities, having studied Physics at University.
Owen strives to support pupils with all aspects of their wider development. He believes that classrooms should be safe and nurturing environments within which children can become confident and independent learners, so they can question the world around them and strive for positive change.
Owen's teaching philosophy is centred on a student-led approach, where children are free to explore new ideas in a creative and unique manner. He firmly believes that this is the best approach to help children develop a lifelong love for learning and ultimately possess a permanent growth mindset.
Owen is originally from Wales, so is an advocate of all projects that seek to preserve and care for our natural landscapes. He is also an avid fan of football and tennis, and it is important to him to always say yes to new experiences and activities.
