Ms Anna Proskurnya

MFL Teacher
Proskurnya Anna

Anna began teaching languages in 2006 and she absolutely loves it. She believes that the study of any language, literature, and culture provides more than just competence in reading, writing, and speaking the language. Students should also learn about literature, art, history, philosophy, political science of the country they study, journalism and, hence, about the people themselves.

Anna's teaching practice helps her make some conclusions about culture influence on a language, and vice versa. It is known that people feel more comfortable speaking their native tongue, but sometimes it is easier to say something important in a foreign language. Anna’s goals are to witness these opportunities in action.

In her free time, Anna likes new experiences in life, traveling and meeting new people, art in many of its manifestations, watching movies and going out with friends, being active, doing sports and making cakes and pies.

She believes that education is not preparation for life, but that education is life itself. Working at ISM gives Anna the opportunity to make other people feel the same way as she does about education.
