TEACHERS & STAFF

Ms Anna Alenskaya

Head of Russian Department
Ms Anna Alenskaya - Ms Anna Alenskaya

Anna loves working with students of different language backgrounds. Being multilingual herself, she admires our students who can master several languages and juggle them at such a young age.

Anna believes that studying is a fascinating journey. It should be interesting, challenging and enable each person to grow. She feels privileged to accompany our students in this journey as they have natural curiosity, a fresh view and are ready to embrace new experiences. A teacher’s responsibility is to create a learning environment where students feel safe, supported and not afraid of making mistakes.

As a Russian language teacher, Anna wants students to fall in love with this language, with Russian literature and culture, to travel around Russia, and to appreciate its beauty. She also wishes her students to be thinking and happy people who believe in themselves, and are open to the world.

To recharge her batteries, Anna loves hiking, going to the theatre, attending concerts, and visiting museums. She particularly enjoys reading (short stories by Anton Chekhov is always a good idea), including children’s books that Anna can afterwards recommend to her students.
