After completing his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education programmes at Western University in Ontario, Canada, Tyler began teaching in 2012. Spending two years working in the United Kingdom and becoming familiar with the UK national curriculum guided Tyler on a path towards international education. For the past ten years Tyler has used his experience to travel throughout the world while living and working in Moscow, Russia and Medan, Indonesia.
Tyler's educational philosophy is built around collaboration within the classroom. Allowing students to share their experiences outside the classroom helps to broaden student engagement. By providing a safe, welcoming, and collaborative working environment, students feel comfortable to take ownership of their learning.
During his free time, Tyler enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures. Taking time to explore the culinary delights of a new city or country is one of his favourite past times. Tyler also enjoys staying active through cycling and running throughout Moscow.
