Having been at The International School of Moscow for more than ten years, Sam has developed a strong understanding of the school’s culture and values. As Assistant Head of Sixth Form, he is responsible for overseeing the oldest students at the school as they progress through their final two years of school education and prepare to enter universities around the world.
Sam is also a teacher of History, and passionately believes the subject gives an important grounding in core historical events that help students better understand the world today. Furthermore, History teaches the critical thinking skills that empower students across the whole curriculum and beyond.
Sam thoroughly enjoys each day at ISM, whether that involves helping a student understand a historical concept in class or supporting a life-changing decision about university applications. Outside school Sam is an avid reader, a keen footballer and runner, and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also a life-long supporter of Luton Town FC and follows their ups and downs with great interest.
