Krylatskoe Year Six Production: Cinderella and Rockerfella

The entire school enjoyed Year Six’s production of Cinderella and Rockerfella on October 5th and 6th. With less than one month of preparation, the children put on a fantastic show which left the audience laughing, crying and gasping.

Using the classic British pantomime style, the script retold the well-known fairytale story of Cinderella in a modern context. Instead of Prince Charming, it was the eponymous rockstar Rockerfella who Cinderella fell in love with.

Every student played an onstage role, and nobody was left without a speaking part. In addition to this, everybody sang the catchy songs with signature Year Six enthusiasm and razzmatazz. Many parents and teachers who attended also left the auditorium with Tonight’s the Night and There’s a Party Here Tonight stuck in their heads. 

With so little time to prepare, ISM could not be prouder of Year Six and their effort with this production. They put on a truly magical show, and all their hard work definitely has led to a happy ending.
