The Year 3 Krylatskoe students wowed everyone last half-term with their fantastic, swashbuckling display of Plastic Pirates. With plenty of drama and laughs aplenty, not to mention an important environmental message for all of us, Plastic Pirates was the perfect show to re-introduce productions to Lower Campus for the first time since 2020.
Our Rosinka Year 3 students brought to life a classic animated film in their wonderful production ‘A Bug’s Life’. Our young actors made us believe we were in a magical circus of bugs and insects.
The Rosinka students of Year Five and Six showed unbelievable enthusiasm towards their production when they performed ‘Darwin Rocks’ on the 4th and 5th of December.
Once again, our Secondary students put on a magnificent performance and stunned the audience with their production of ‘Where the Fairy Tales Are’. The visually-stunning set, which involved months of preparation, made it hard to believe we were really still in Moscow.
Year Four took to the stage in frosty November and warmed the hearts and minds of their audience with blockbuster performances of ‘The Wizard of Oz’. The children sang and acted their hearts out throughout the shows.
Year Five produced an outstanding adaptation of Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’ on Tuesday the 19th and Wednesday the 20th of November. The students had to partake in a multitude of different tasks over the course of the last fortnight. Having worked co-operatively and enthusiastically, they put on a wonderful production.
Reception took their audience on an underwater adventure in their amazing production of ‘A (Baby) Shark’s Tale’, written by the Reception teaching team. Parents were wowed by beautiful costumes, confident performances, and of course, a rousing rendition of ‘Baby Shark’.
With the recent resurgence of 80s pop culture, Year Two were very excited to perform a stage adaption of the hit movie, ‘Back to the Future’. During our preparations, the teaching team were amazed that some of the children already knew some of the hit songs that were included in the script. It was a good sign.
Year One recently entertained us all with their presentation of Lewis Carroll’s famous tale of Alice’s journey into Wonderland. As Alice follows a white rabbit into his burrow, she unlocks a door that leads both her and the audience into a bright and magical world of fantasy. It is a tale of flawed logic and immense fun, communicated in style, through the children’s fantastic performances.
A story filled with magic has recently visited Rosinka. Join Matilda on her journey through her challenges of life and constant struggle with the ever-menacing Miss Trunchbull. Worry not though, Matilda has a secret that will help her prevail. This secret is magically revealed by our talented Year 5 and 6 students.
Tuesday the 4th and Wednesday the 5th of December were the dates for ISM’s annual production at The Rublevo Theatre. This year, it was the heartwarming, Christmas-relevant, Broadway record breaker ‘Annie’. Deemed to be one of the biggest events on the school calendar, it was important that the cast and crew delivered in an ambitious fashion.
