There has been a buzz of enthusiasm and excitement about Maths across all campuses this October!

The Maths Bee is an annual competition where children are challenged to answer as many Mental Maths questions as they can in one minute.

This year, across all three primary campuses, more pupils than ever entered the Bee. Many children entered with the aim of taking part and improving their Maths, which they achieved with flying colours. Of course, many students also harboured hopes of winning their class competition and representing their peers in a Campus Final, then perhaps in the cross-campus final for the ultimate honour of ISM Champion.

The children had a couple of weeks to practise a set of example questions before the class competitions. It was obvious that many children had put in considerable effort into improving their Mental Maths skills, with children at all levels of the competition impressing their teachers. The finals were, as always, tense and dramatic, with some amazing Maths skills on show.

Eventually, we were able to crown a champion from each year group at ISM. A massive congratulations to our ISM winners, but the teachers are proud of everyone who took part, practised and improved their Maths skills.
