Our Virtual School experience is ending on a positive note! Discover what our students have been doing in music, drama and art during the month of June.
Students in the lower Primary years wrote their own raps to express how they feel about finishing the term. Discover what Iarina and Lynn have to say about their experience in Grade 1!
Our talented students and staff sang "Don’t Worry, Be Happy" as their final virtual choir of the school year. A big thanks to the students and staff who participated in this collaborative project, and a special thanks to our music teachers, Ms. Donna and Ms. Ramirez. We can’t wait to be able to sing together in person again!
We are very proud of all our students who entered the Visual Art Competition this year. We could only choose one finalist in each grade level category to send to the Global Campus: Rita from Grade 3 and Laksh from Grade 2. In September, everyone will receive a gift from the library. Thanks to all of you who entered the contest and there will be many exciting activities this next school year!
Grade 7 students have been discovering how animals have been an important subject in different mythologies. They also created their own hybrid animal sculpture at home using homemade Playdough, paint and recycled materials. Check out the photo gallery below to see how their imaginations took flight during this activity!
Grade 10 Music students were given the option of working with Drama or Visual Arts. Those working with drama created virtual performances, which will be used as musical interludes in Drama's digital production of "Waiting for Godot". Visual Arts students created a stop-motion film based on their experiences and Music students composed and performed the soundtrack for the film.
Listen to a song on the theme of "waiting" for the Grade 10 production of "Waiting for Godot". It was composed and performed by students Carmen and Lalia.
Watch the stop-motion film which was created as a joint collaboration between Visual Arts and Music students. The theme of the film is "moving abroad".
Our Grade 6 Students also tried their hand at composing music - electronic dance music, to be exact. Check out this danceable track from Nicolas, who used the program Auxy: Beat Studio. His tune will have you dancing all summer long!
