At ICS, our students enjoy a truly global education. We’re the only school in Madrid to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) in English from the age of 3 all the way through to 18. We’ve been doing this for more than 40 years, too. This guarantees your child will benefit from an expertly curated curriculum, an incredible array of learning experiences, and the highest standards of teaching.
At each stage of their IB education – from our Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) through to the IB Diploma (IBDP) – your child will learn in new and extraordinary ways, as well as exploring the subjects they’re passionate about. We strive to develop curious, confident, happy children from an early age, too, by filling our PYP with play, discovery, and a sense of wonder.
Our curriculum, for example, is enhanced by innovative collaborations with The Juilliard School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which offer exclusive access to the world’s best performing arts and STEAM programmes. Your child can also learn multiple languages, including Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, and Korean, as well as French and German.
Pursuing passions and learning in a way that works for them inspires our students to outstanding success. In 2022, our collective IBDP points score of 36 was significantly higher than the global average. And with 1 in 3 getting 40 points or more – and three achieving perfect scores of 45 – our school is a place where students’ hard work and talent shine brightly.
Alongside world-leading academic results, our IB programme is designed to develop the skills your child will need in the future. These include public speaking opportunities that build confidence, group projects that encourage teamwork, and challenges that push them to think critically and creatively.
This approach ensures our students leave us as confident young adults, ready to create their own futures. This includes continuing their education at the very best universities, such as Cambridge and University College London, as well as Ivy League institutions like Harvard and Stanford.
