PATHWAYS TO THE WORLD'S BEST UNIVERSITIES

Your child will love learning in our inclusive school community, where every student is empowered to create their own future.

Their journey to success at Regents International School Pattaya starts with our carefully considered blend of British and international curricula. We’re the only school on the Eastern Seaboard, Thailand, to offer a choice between A-levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at 16. Your child will choose from the widest range of subject options in the region, too, as they create a personalised study programme that embraces their talents, passions, and future ambitions.

For 30 years, this tailored approach has seen our students achieve remarkable results, which are consistently above the global average. In 2022, this success took every single one of our gifted graduates to their first-choice university.

Academic excellence

We know that students who are engaged, motivated, and love what they do will thrive. Which is why – at every stage of their education, from early years through to sixth form – your child will follow a tailored academic path that will nurture their strengths, passions, and future aspirations.

At 16, your child can either deep-dive into three specialist subjects at A-level or explore six areas on a broader scale through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). We’re also renowned for the extensive selection of subjects we offer at IGCSE, IBDP, and A-level, which include psychology, photography, Korean, and economics.

In small class sizes, your child will receive the responsive support and personalised level of challenge they need to achieve their best. Outstanding performing arts and STEAM collaborations with The Juilliard School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) will spark their curiosity and fuel their creativity, too. We’re also a proud member of Round Square, which provides world-class experiential learning opportunities that develop our students’ character, leadership skills, and global mindedness.

Giving our students agency over their learning sees them get fantastic results. Our IGCSE class of 2022 achieved our best-ever grades, with 58% earning A+ to A. Our IBDP score of 35 was three points above the global average, with almost a quarter scoring 40 points or more.

This success took every one of our 2022 graduates to their first-choice university, including University College London, the University of British Columbia, Purdue University, and Yonsei University.

World's best teachers

Behind every outstanding learning experience is an inspirational teacher, which is why we only recruit the most passionate, talented people. All our teachers are UK or internationally qualified. And at secondary, each teacher is a genuine specialist in their subject field.

With an average of 13 years’ experience in the classroom, our educators are adept at tailoring learning to different needs and preferences, as well as empowering students to take ownership of their entire educational experience. This not only improves academic performance, but also helps our students to think collaboratively, grow in confidence, and identify areas of interest and expertise.

We also make sure that learning is accessible to everyone. Our dedicated English as an Additional Language (EAL) team and expert learning support staff provide bespoke programmes of assistance to students who need specialist help.

There’s no limit to our teachers’ desire to learn and grow, either. On the Nord Anglia University platform, they share ideas with teachers worldwide, study for further qualifications, and access resources from world-leading organisations including MIT and The Juilliard School. This means they deliver cutting-edge academic programmes and co-curricular experiences – and guarantees your child will receive the highest quality instruction.

Advanced learning environments

Located 20 minutes outside of Pattaya – and only an hour and a half from Bangkok – our campus is a safe and secure sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city. Here, impressive architecture, fantastic sports facilities, and tech-enabled learning spaces inspire every child to create their own future.

Our students love getting active. Two swimming pools, an air-conditioned sports hall, shaded Astroturf pitch, running track, and fitness centre develop our students’ coordination, movement, and motor skills. They’re also spaces where talents shine bright, as students train and compete to be the best – and take on other schools.

Your child will step into the spotlight in our 350-seat auditorium, The Globe, soaring in confidence as they perform, produce, and direct. They’ll also learn from the very best voice and instrumental teachers in our dedicated music centre, with its practice suites and state-of-the-art tech room. And in our STEAM spaces and labs, your child will ‘invent the future’, as they explore the endless possibilities of science, technology, and engineering.

Our dedicated, age-appropriate spaces enable our students to learn and grow in environments that meet their needs. These include our specialist Sixth Form Centre, with its smartly designed breakout spaces, collaborative zones, and quiet study areas.

Exceptional learning experiences

Learning comes alive beyond the classroom at Regents. Here, your child will have every opportunity to do what they love, make thrilling new discoveries, and experience a sense of adventure. Taking part in a mix of activities helps our secondary students stand out on their university applications, too.

Our collaborations with world-leading organisations like The Juilliard School, MIT, and UNICEF make our school a truly unique place to learn. While MIT’s inventors teach our students how to use ‘design thinking’ to solve STEAM problems and challenges, Juilliard’s artists show them original ways to express their creativity through music, drama, and dance.

Before and after school, more than 200 co-curricular clubs nurture our students’ undiscovered and blossoming talents. From robotics, coding, and chess to cookery, 3D printing, and a range of sports, there really is an activity for everyone.

We also expand our students’ horizons through a mix of local, national, and international trips and expeditions. These include climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, learning about themselves and others on a personal challenge adventure to the Swiss Alps, and debating global issues at the UN High Level Political Forum in New York City.

Boarding at Regents offers an even greater collection of opportunities. From go-karting and paintballing to cultural visits and canoeing, our boarders experience more adventure, form deeper friendships, and discover even more about themselves and others.

Of course, health and happiness are at the heart of our holistic educational approach. We weave wellbeing into every aspect of school life, building our students’ resilience, confidence, and self-esteem. We’re proud to hold the prestigious Wellbeing Award for Schools, which recognises our whole-school commitment to positive care and attention. Unlike many schools in Thailand, we also have a full-time school counsellor.

The Nord Anglia Education family

Regents is a home from home to students, parents, and teachers from more than 50 countries. Everyone’s welcome here, and our closeknit community works together to create a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, included, and inspired to learn.

Our Parent Supporters Group epitomises this community spirit, welcoming new families to our school and helping them settle into the region. We also run a programme of parental workshops, which cover topics like social media addiction and student mental health, as well as cookery classes and English lessons. Our parents are invited to regular meetings with our Senior Leadership Team, too, where they can share their thoughts and opinions on topics ranging from learning at home to lunch menu options.

Our community loves to celebrate success. Our primary ‘Star of the Week’ award recognises great personal, social, extra-curricular, and academic achievements. As a member of one of our Houses, your child will also take part in fun games and competitions, working with friends and representing their House with pride

Being part of the Nord Anglia family connects our students with peers across the globe. On our Global Campus learning platform, your child will take on projects and challenges alongside students from 32 countries. Whether it’s virtually climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or writing a poem that speaks to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, your child will increase their international awareness, learn to collaborate across the world, and form lasting friendships.

Our social purpose
At Regents International School Pattaya, our students use their energy and skills to make a difference to people, communities, and causes in Thailand and across the globe. This fosters a sense of social responsibility, as well as shaping how they understand, prepare for, and respond to the world around them.

Our social purpose

Whether it’s taking on a leadership role, fundraising for charities, or working together to solve pressing global issues, our students make a positive difference every single day.

One of the many ways your child will do this is through our Round Square membership. A vibrant network of 230 schools across 50 countries, Round Square offers world-class programmes that develop global competence, character, and confidence. Our students take part in exchange trips, international service projects, and community initiatives, as well as joining peers from around the world at thought-provoking global conferences and events. Providing a platform for future leaders, our Round Square education sees students learn by doing, connecting, and collaborating.

Your child can also make their voice heard through our exclusive collaboration with UNICEF. They’ll explore important issues – including climate change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – through debates and international trips, where they’ll share their ideas on the world stage.

Our local community is important to us, too. Our students demonstrate real leadership, raising money and awareness for environmental projects like the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai and charitable causes including the Abundant Life Centre in Bang Saen, a home for children with HIV. They also drive environmental change, including through our award-winning mangrove reforestation project.

We offer more than 160 student leadership roles in school, from head boy and girl and House captains, to eco and wellbeing project leaders. Taking risks and tackling challenges head-on, your child will learn how to build harmonious teams, solve complex issues, and communicate effectively.
