Mixing sport, stunning scenery and downhill thrills, skiing is one of the best ways to experience the Alps in all their glory. At Collège Champittet, we provide many opportunities throughout the winter for our students to partake in this cherished Swiss pastime, including our eagerly awaited ski camps!
In March, our students in grades 7 to 12 headed to the Sport Ferien Resort in Fiesch for an action-packed week of winter fun. While daily skiing was at the heart of our programme, there was also plenty of time for our students to swim in the resort’s pool, practise indoor sports in the gymnasium or play team games in the evenings.
With the nearest ski lifts only 15 minutes away, we made the most of our week with skiing sessions every morning and afternoon. Swiss Ski School (ESS) certified trainers were also at hand to give ski lessons. Between the professional guidance and daily practice with classmates in groups, our young skiers were building confidence and perfecting their technique in no time!
During the week, our campers not only hit the slopes but also deepened their friendships through shared fun and games, cosy meals at the Berghaus restaurant, conversations around the fireplace, and the delightful after-ski “Boom” dance held on the last night.
Our skiers returned with stronger bonds and renewed energy for their studies, as well as incredible memories of their week in the mountains of Canton Valais. We are already looking forward to next year’s ski camp!
We are proud to announce that Collège Champittet has once again been ranked among the 100 leading private schools in the world by the Spear’s Schools Index!
At Collège Champittet, our culture of lifelong learning includes our teachers just as much as our students. Learning doesn’t stop when we leave the classroom or when the school day ends.
At Collège Champittet, our annual Career Day gives students a valuable opportunity to meet professionals from diverse industries and explore their future goals.
On 15 March 2025, music lovers at Collège Champittet were treated to an exceptional concert by Franco-Italian mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre and French lutenist Thomas Dunford.
