Art, adventure and Santa Claus: Champittet preschool and primary students enjoy winter daytrips

Art, adventure and Santa Claus: Champittet preschool and primary students enjoy winter daytrips - Champittet preschool and primary activities off

Winter might bring shorter days and chilly weather, but that hasn’t stopped our Champittet preschoolers and primary students from discovering the best of Switzerland! At Collège Champittet, winter excursions give our youngest learners a chance to flex their muscles and imagination while getting into the holiday spirit.

In December, our students enjoyed panoramic mountain views and fresh Alpine air at Rochers de Naye. Our preschoolers and primary students also visited indoor sports and games facilities, finding plenty of adventures and new experiences. At Urba Kids, our youngest students discovered the thrills of bouncy castles, ziplines and electric cars. Meanwhile, at Beaulieu, our 2nd- and 3rd-graders tested their climbing skills, navigated an aerial obstacle course and played games while roller skating.

Our winter field trips also unlocked our students’ creativity and imagination in other ways. In Lausanne, our 1st-graders explored pottery and ceramics at Terre de Sienne. This inspiring studio provided the perfect environment for our learners to get their hands on clay and make their own artistic creations. Finally, a visit to Santa Claus – at his home in Andilly, France – brought the wonders of Christmas to life for our youngest students. From hearing Christmas stories to meeting Santa himself, our visitors had a wonderful time in this winter wonderland.

At Collège Champittet, school trips offer an excellent opportunity for our students to grow and bond over shared experiences. We look forward to organising many more adventures beyond the classroom in 2025!
