Champittet boarding students explore the cultural heritage of Oman

Oman - Trip to Oman for boarders
Boarding at Collège Champittet offers the opportunity to enjoy exceptional adventures not only in Switzerland, but also around the globe! Recently, a group of our boarding students travelled to Oman to spend an unforgettable two weeks immersed in culture and nature.

Organised during the autumn school break, the trip introduced our students to the diverse landscapes and rich heritage of this fascinating Middle Eastern country. Our young travellers began their journey in the vibrant capital of Muscat. Here, our group admired the architectural marvels of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque – the largest mosque in Oman. Our students also visited the famous Mutrah Souq, exploring a labyrinth of spices, traditional crafts and other goods in this bustling bazaar.

Beyond Muscat, our boarders discovered the natural beauty of Oman, visiting some of the country's most scenic landscapes. They explored the desert on camels, swam with turtles in the Indian Ocean, watched dolphins, and played with locals. You can imagine the wonder our young people felt when faced with so many new experiences!

There’s nothing quite like travel to enrich our knowledge and appreciation of the world. From cultural treasures to natural wonders, our boarding trip to Oman was an eye-opening experience for all!
