- How long does the admissions process take?

From the moment you get in touch with us to the offer of a place, our admissions process can – in some cases – only take two to three weeks. Timings do vary, though, as each family’s application journey is different. Please speak to our admissions team to find out more.

- Do you offer boarding?

Yes, we offer boarding for 11 to 18-year-olds on our Pully Campus. This includes weekly (five days) and full (seven days) options.
Our safe, secure, and happy boarding environment is a place where each child gets the care, support, and attention they need to thrive. It’s also a place where friendships, academic support, and exciting learning experiences are available every day.

We offer more than 40 extra-curricular clubs, ensuring every child has the chance to do what they love. From sports and the arts to science and academia, our enrichment programme encourages students to showcase their talents and pursue new passions. Our enviable location between Lake Geneva and the Alps means we can offer an array of one-of-a-kind activities, too, including ski lessons, paddleboarding, and sailing.

Day and overnight trips are an important part of every student’s education. From an early age, your child will enjoy activities that broaden their understanding of the world and add a real-world dimension to classroom learning.
Every trip is age-appropriate and designed to develop specific skills, values, and attributes. Whether it’s conquering Mount Kilimanjaro or supporting Collège Champittet Foundation projects in Madagascar and Thailand, our exciting programme of international expeditions broadens our students’ horizons and instils a lifelong love of adventure. We also offer day and overnight ski trips, cultural visits to galleries, museums, and the opera, and the chance to explore our beautiful natural surroundings.

Yes, our catering team prepare tasty, nutritious lunches every day. We offer a variety of local and international options, and our menu changes weekly. Our focus is on providing healthy, balanced meals made from the highest quality ingredients. We also ensure our students have access to nutritious snacks.

- Do you operate a bus service?

We run a safe and reliable transport service using our own fleet of modern, clean minibuses. Routes serve Lausanne and the Lake Geneva area, covering a radius of approximately 25 km from our Pully campus.

- Do your students wear a uniform?

Yes, our students wear our comfortable and high-quality ‘half uniform’ with pride. As well as creating a strong sense of belonging, our uniform ensures every child feels part of a closeknit community.

- What curricula do you teach?

Our students learn using the world’s finest curricula. Our bilingual pre-school and primary courses – which combine the best of Swiss, French, and British programmes – are specifically designed by Champittet teachers for Champittet students.
At secondary, our 14 to 18-year-olds either study for the anglophone International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, the francophone French Baccalaureate, or the bilingual Swiss Maturité. Each of these diplomas is respected by the world’s best universities.

- What size are your classes?

Our class sizes vary depending on the age group and pathway. Typically, however, your child will learn in small classes of approximately 15 students with a teacher-pupil ratio of 1 to 9.

Our students’ outstanding success takes them to the very best universities in Switzerland, Europe, and across the world. Destinations include Oxford, King’s College London, the University of Geneva, Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne, and McGill.

- How can I get involved in school life?

There are lots of ways to get involved in our community. You can join our Champittet Parents Association, which organises philanthropic projects and regular social activities. You’ll be invited to monthly coffee mornings, too, where you’ll have your say on how we do things. And you’ll have the opportunity to join the thriving Association of Parents of Pupils of Champittet (APEC).

- Boarding: what meals will my child eat?

In the school restaurant, Les Quatre Saisons, our boarders enjoy healthy, freshly prepared breakfasts and dinners every day. Lunchtimes are spent with our day students.

- Boarding: will my child get homesick?

We know that every child is likely to miss their family at some point. It’s normal to feel homesick, but experience tells us this feeling usually subsides as our students get involved in school life. Our Boarding House Team will make sure your child is supported every step of the way.

Yes, our boarders typically share a room with one other student. We intentionally pair young people from different nationalities together, as this is a great way to broaden horizons and enhance cross-cultural learning.
