PANTHER EXPERIENCE OPEN HOUSE
Our second Scholastic Book Club is up and running! Go to http://world-schools.scholastic.co.uk/country-day-school-escazu to browse the latest books and order online. For every order placed on this month’s Book Club, our school will earn Scholastic Rewards to get new books for the library.
The International Scholastic Book Clubs are a great way for you and your child to choose books together. The website offers a wide range of books for all tastes and abilities, so there’s something to suit everyone.
There’s never any obligation to order but if you’d like to buy anything, you can visit our school’s Scholastic website, add books to our basket and follow the steps to finalize your purchase. You’ll be able to pay securely online by credit or debit card and the books will arrive at school about 3 weeks after the order deadline.
If you’d like to buy any books from the Book Club catalog, please complete your online order by Monday, November 18th, 2019.
Please email cdslibrary@cds.ed.cr if you have any questions, or contact Isabel Urroz in the library isabel_urroz@cds.ed.cr.
Last week, the Weizman Institute invited librarians from across the country to participate in our annual conference (that’s me in the picture, dressing the part). This year, in addition to sharing valuable library-related information, we were given the opportunity to tour the Costa Rican Jewish Community Museum in the Israeli Zionist Center; overall, an enlightening yet poignant experience. I am grateful to have been able to attend this conference and look forward to continue fostering the professional alliances we have created between libraries and librarians in Costa Rica.
