Primary World Book Week Recap: A Journey of Discovery and a Love for Reading! - Primary World Book Week Recap A Journey of Discovery and a Love for Reading

The Primary World Book Week has come to a close with a variety of meaningful activities, igniting a passion for reading among students. From engaging reading sessions with author Nawal Kalra to a vibrant parade featuring unique costumes, the week was filled with excitement, joy, and inspiration.

The Fahasa Book Fair

Took place on March 3rd and 4th, 2025, marking an exciting kickoff to the dynamic series of activities celebrating World Book Week at BVIS.

Over the past two days, our students had the chance to immerse themselves in a diverse literary world, exploring books across various genres, from literature and science to essential life skills collections. Enthusiastic discussions and the joy of discovering their "perfect book" created an inspiring atmosphere filled with curiosity and a love for learning.

Special offers from Fahasa made the event even more exciting, allowing many students to take home new book collections, marking the beginning of their next journey into knowledge and discovery.

Extreme Reading Challenge!

This year’s World Book Week has been truly special, as our Primary students have turned every page into an exciting adventure!

Reading is like a journey of discovering the world, and every child has their own unique way to enjoy this joy. Our teachers at BVIS have received countless adorable and funny moments from the students and couldn’t stop smiling as they saw the passion for reading spreading so positively.

From reading on trees, upside down on bars, reading with pets, to super creative reading corners – all of this creates a colorful picture of a passion for knowledge. Some students even managed to stretch their legs in a split while still engrossed in their books!

Let’s continue nurturing the love for books at BVIS and make reading a joy every day. Let’s enjoy these one-of-a-kind reading poses from the students!

Meet author Nawal Kalra: Bringing the magical world of animals to BVIS!

As part of the special activities for this year’s World Book Week, BVIS is delighted to welcome children’s book author Nawal Kalra for an exciting storytelling session with our Primary students. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, Nawal Kalra is the author of several meaningful and engaging children's books, including The Very Grumpy Sloth, Not the Only Bear, The Dragon Went Hmmmmmmmm, and her latest release, Ruckus at the Zoo—a collection of delightful rhyming stories designed for young readers at different stages of their reading journey.

Aligned with this year’s animal-themed Book Week, Nawal Kalra brings a magical wild jungle to life, inviting students to explore a vibrant world of diverse creatures through her captivating stories. Her interactive workshops promise to introduce children to the art of storytelling, spark their imagination, and enhance their creative reading skills. This will be a wonderful opportunity for BVIS students to learn from a talented author, develop a love for books, and broaden their understanding of the natural world through the magic of storytelling!

Costume Day – Lost in the magical animal world!

Our World Book Week wrapped up with a vibrant and joy-filled costume day!

The Primary playground transformed into a magical animal kingdom, where students and teachers dressed up as adorable creatures from mysterious forests, deep oceans, and vast grasslands.

The grand parade and creative costumes amazed everyone, showcasing the confidence and excitement of the children. The event became even more lively with the presence of parents – the most enthusiastic supporters, cheering and applauding their little ones. Every radiant moment, every happy smile was captured, turning into cherished memories of this year’s Book Week!
