We’re thrilled to announce that Nord Anglia Education is continuing its partnership with UNICEF for another three years! Since 2017, this unique collaboration has provided incredible opportunities for our students to engage in meaningful social impact initiatives that raise awareness of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), helping foster empathy, social advocacy, and global citizenship in all our classrooms.
At BVIS HCMC, our students have actively participated in this programme through initiatives like the annual NAE-UNICEF Summit in the US, building a deeper understanding of global challenges and developing skills as changemakers.
Our school’s commitment to social responsibility is further reinforced by our participation in major UNICEF-led events like World Children’s Day on 20th November, where Nord Anglia’s 80,000+ students come together to reflect on the value and potential of young people in shaping a better world.
Mr Simon Higham, our Principal at the British Vietnamese International School, Ho Chi Minh City said:
“It is a real privilege for all our BVIS HCMC students to be involved in the unique NAE collaboration with UNICEF. To become fully fledged global learners, our students need to fully embrace and understand real life global issues, which in turn, inspires them to become solution focused learners, who are responsible, empathic and compassionate young adults. Our partnership with UNICEF allows active participation in global initiatives from wearing blue to support the recent World Children’s Day on 20th November, to presenting ideas on sustainability through the SDGs at last year’s COP sumit. Year on year, BVIS students have become advocates for positive change, and we all look forward to what the next 3 years will bring, as in partnership, we empower the next generation of leaders to make a long-lasting difference both in Vietnam and across the world.”
We look forward to sharing more updates on the wonderful projects our students will undertake in collaboration with UNICEF! If you would like to learn more about our work with UNICEF, you can visit their website here.
