In response to the campaign to support the northern regions of Vietnam severely affected by Typhoon Yagi, on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, BVIS community members came to school dressed in red or yellow, representing the colors of the beloved Vietnamese national flag, to participate in fundraising activities. This gesture symbolizes care, love, and solidarity with those in the North who are struggling to recover from the devastating natural disaster.

Supporting flood-affected northern Vietnam, BVI Community Unites for charity fundraising! - Supporting flood affected northern Vietnam BVI Community Unites for charity fundraising

Every contribution, whether big or small, holds deep meaning and provides crucial support to those in need in Northern Vietnam. BVIS's fundraising efforts not only demonstrate the community’s care for those affected by the disaster but also serve as an opportunity to spread the spirit of charity, sharing, and compassion within the school community.

BVIS HCMC will pass all the money raised to BVIS Hanoi who will use it to purchase much needed items and pass them on to the communities in need through our partners. These include Blue Dragon; Centre for Supporting Community Development Initiatives (SCDI) and Keep Vietnam Clean.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire BVIS community for joining hands in supporting the Vietnamese people severely impacted by Typhoon Yagi.
