To secure this coveted opportunity, Phuc Thien competed against students from various member schools of the Nord Anglia Education organisation worldwide.
Each participating student was required to submit a competition video sharing their ideas on the topic "If I were an innovator at MIT, I would..." with a duration of 90 seconds to 3 minutes presenting their innovation.
With the hope of finding a solution for autism, which his two cousins are currently suffering from, Phuc Thien shared in the video the desire to develop holographic technology for the human nervous system. His goal is to create technology that can aid in visualisation, analysis, and treatment for disorders such as autism and problems like memory loss.
In the video, Thien also demonstrated his understanding of how holographic technology can aid in treatment, saving resources and costs while potentially helping millions of patients worldwide.
He emphasised that this initiative aligns perfectly with MIT's community-driven goals.
Currently, Phuc Thien is eagerly looking forward to the learning experience at Massachusetts Institute of Technology scheduled for October. Congratulations!
*Nord Anglia Education collaborates with MIT to introduce your children to an innovative way of learning the STEAM subjects, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and teaching the students how to apply their skills to real-life situations.
A selection of Nord Anglia students visits MIT every year to immerse the children in STEAM learning. They meet prominent MIT scientists, build and experiment in workshops, and learn about new discoveries that will shape their future.
