Participating in the Oceanman World Final Championship in Phuket, Thailand, alongside 1,500 athletes from 72 countries worldwide, two students from BVIS, Bao Chau (Year 8) and Vuong Khoi (Year 6), continued to excel and significantly contributed to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese swimming team.
Before that, Bao Chau, Year 8 also achieved 3rd place in the 2 km Sprint and 1st place in the 2 km Sprint for the age group of 10-19 at the International Oceanman Cam Ranh 2023 Open Water Swimming Competition!
Bao Chau and Vuong Khoi are two siblings who share a love for swimming from an early age. For these young 'swimmers' from BVIS, swimming not only brings them the joy of sports but also provides an opportunity for them to continuously challenge themselves and strive to surpass their own limits.
Mr. Lam, Parent of Bao Chau and Vuong Khoi, further shares about their achievements, “With swimming, I see that my children develop a resilient spirit and never give up. This is also something that they are consistently nurtured with in an educational environment that emphasizes holistic development, such as BVIS.”
Chau and Khoi really enjoy the two large, internationally standard 25m swimming pools at the school. The modern facilities provide them with the opportunity to fully unleash their passion for sports.”
"I had the opportunity to interact and compete with many talented swimmers from around the world at the tournament. Swimming not only improves health and height but also helps us prevent tragic drowning accidents. I hope that more and more children everywhere will learn and practice swimming - a vital life skill," Bao Chau added.
