On Saturday 13th June 2020, our Year 13 students came together with their families, teachers, and special guests to celebrate their Graduation Event. The ceremony was filled with pride and joy as it marked a great milestone in our students’ challenging and learning focused journey at school.
In his opening speech, Mr Higham emphasised the collaborative effort from our students, teachers, and families in helping our students to thrive through this challenging academic year. He expressed his pride in seeing all Year 13 students who have now grown into confident, mature young adults who are ready to embrace any challenges in life. He carried on advising our students to continue to think differently and always see everything that they do as an opportunity.
Our graduates, Ky Dan and Dieu Anh added in their own words, “Memories do not have to be extravagant. We all have our own small memories, too, and they also help us appreciate our lives more. Why? Because life is a jigsaw puzzle and experiences, big or small, are the pieces which join to form a picture of our life; the more pieces we obtain, the more complete the picture will be.”
The night continued with the emotional speeches delivered bilingually in pairs by Noel and Ai Khoa which reflected their fond memories of study time and deep appreciation towards their teachers and families.
Noel and Cao Khoa added, “Looking back on the times we've been through, and the pictures we can see how far we've grown as a year group. Thank you everyone for being a part of my growth journey, playing a part in my maturity. And I would also like to send my gratitude, and for everyone else here today, a thank you to all the teachers that have been with us in class or behind the scenes, to have made high school such a memorable experience for us.”
Congratulations to the following students received prizes on the night.
