Dai Thanh Primary & Secondary School, located seventy kilometers from Hanoi, welcomed us with warmth and open arms. When talking and meeting students and teachers, listening to their stories, we found out that despite facing hardships and limited resources, the students showed unwavering dedication to their education, supported by dedicated teachers who work tirelessly to empower them with knowledge and help students break the cycle of poverty for a better future.
Dai Thanh School, with its 611 students, is situated in an economically disadvantaged area, lacking necessary infrastructure due to minimal yearly investments. With a strong sense of empathy and kindness, the Dragon House volunteer group distributed gifts to all the students, prepared special packages for 15 students from unprivileged families to provide extra encouragement and support.
We have delivered to the school two computers, study lamps, books, notebooks, pens, clothes, and snacks, which were raised by our Charity Gift Booth at the BVIS Hanoi Tet Fair. Though these contributions may seem small, these donations carried profound intentions, aiming to uplift the spirits of both teachers and students, fostering optimism and resilience in the face of challenges. We also hope that through words of encouragement and these shared gifts serve, the students have been motivated to create a brighter pathway for their future and allow their dreams to become reality.
As we bid farewell to Dai Thanh School in the afternoon, the warm goodbyes from the teachers and students left us with a sense of anticipation to revisit soon, witnessing the progress and joy that our contributions bring. Each visit not only strengthens the bonds of charity but also spreads the essential message of unity and love among all.
