Dear Parents,
Our children are growing and learning day-by-day, week-by-week, and year-by-year. As it happens gradually and as we are up close, it can sometimes creep up on us and take parents (and teachers) by surprise that our baby is a child; our child is a teenager; our teenager is a young adult!
One such event happened this morning, when Year 5 and Year 6 parents were invited in to Secondary for a presentation by Year 7 and A level students. It is remarkable how Year 7 have grown in independence and maturity in the passage of a mere 8 months since they left Primary.
Listening to the Sixth Form students, it was pleasing to see what fine young adults, ready for university, our pupils are developing into.
