Secondary Weekly Updates (4/1 - 6/1)

Welcome to BVIS Secondary Update

I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas holiday break and are now looking forward to the new term with new things learned from each lesson.

In Psychology

Students have been learning about sleep and dreams, including the importance of getting quality sleep on their energy levels the next day and ability to focus.  Students used the app Sleep Cycle to record their sleep and compared their sleep data with their friends, including analysing their sleep cycles.  They have also been learning about the nature of rapid eye movement and how it relates to dream content.

In History

Year 8 students have been learning about the Mughal Empire and why they expanded so rapidly around India and South Asia. They have completed some great re-enactments of some classic battle scenes!

Our group of Year 12 service-learning students have been busy sorting and packing the items we are delivering to homeless people living in the Tay Ho area. The students have been delighted with the generosity of our school community and are excited to help those in need across Hanoi next week.
