Dear Parents,
Welcome to my Weekly updates.
I had the pleasure of attending the Secondary School performance last week, such an amazing show, please see pictures below:
PTCs have continued at a pace this week and thank you to all those parents who have attended it is greatly appreciated.
This week we received our feedback report from the NAE internal auditors who visited the school recently. They were incredibly impressed with the school, the ethos and the approach the school is taking to ensure the best experience for the children and staff. There were very few things they mentioned to improve and of those they were all minor items. This is great news for the school.
This weekend, we look forward to hearing about the Practice Adventurous Journey that our Year 10 and 12 students are undertaking. They will be walking in both Mai Chau and Pu Luong and the students are all excited to practice their cooking and camp skills whilst being immersed within nature. The Adventurous Journey forms one quarter of their Duke of Edinburgh Award and although this weekend is only a practice expedition, it will give all the students the experience needed to ensure they pass the real expedition which they will do in March.
It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas around the school site and it is great to see so many happy and smiley faces. The school has been decorated and we have a Christmas door design competition running across the school. I know the children are looking forward to the last week and all the celebrations we have in place.
This week, CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education) has announced Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards - where they recognise exceptional learner achievement in Cambridge examinations around the world. I am delighted to announce that yet again our school and students have excelled. This year we have received 4 awards. Please join me to celebrate and recognise the amazing success of our high-performing students below.
In the spirit of giving for Tet, BVIS Hanoi is yet again opening a Tet appeal to make Tet a lot easier for all the recipients of your generosity. We are going to support three groups of children; those with disabilities; children who have been rescued from human trafficking and exploitation; and children who live in poverty.
