Everyone desires a life that is filled with joy and happiness, for themselves and their loved ones: a little joy after the school day, meeting friends; the greater joy of a family trip discovering new places; or the joy of being admitted to the university that your dreams. For a few, there is a much simpler joy in life - that of waking every day to live and spend time with ther beloved family.
On a single day at the tender age of 18, the life of Anna (Do Hanh An, BVIS alumna 2013-18) was turned upside down. Anna was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer. From that time, Anna and her family have been very resiliently facing dealing with the disease.
Enter into this scenario the charity group 'Ấm Project', a small project organised by high school students in Hanoi. They hold volunteer events to assist dialysis patients at Le Thanh Nghi street, Bach Mai.
When Quang Tien (another talented BVIS student 2015-18) and his sister, Bao Quyen, met members of ‘Warm Project’ on one September day, they shared the story of Anna. They were moved to act and do something for Anna. This charity Concert is their collaborative action for Anna, in her Journey to Live.
The concert entitled "Le Chauffage - Warming Up" was the decision of Quang Tien, Bao Quyen and ‘Ấm Project’ to bring hope to Hanh An, to other dialysis patients and to many other young people suffering from such conditions.
Supported by BVIS Hanoi, Le Chauffage concert will be held in January 2019 at the National Academy of Music. This collaboration raises this awareness of the plight of many young people with these health issues, and it is expected to bring a sense of hope and joy for all attending.
All money from ticket sales and donations will be used to support Anna, dialysis patients and other activities organized by ‘Ấm Project’.
