Before half-term break, Year 2 successfully celebrated a camping day to end their IPC topic on Holidays.
Prior to the camping day, throughout the whole week, our Year 2 students were very excited participating in many activities leading up to the day. They wrote poems, made banners, and drew pictures of camping activities in preparation for the special day. We were so proud seeing them proving themselves to be responsible students packing and bringing tents, blankets, and even snacks to school.
We must give a big thank you to all the parents who came to join in with the event. We appreciate you taking the time to help out. Your presence helped boost the students’ confidence and gave positive vibes to the event.
Despite the hot weather, we had lots of fun taking part in a variety of activities such as learning how to pitch a tent, toasting marshmallows, singing campfire songs, making outdoor crafts, swimming and playing various games.
The event could not be such a huge success without the help and support of teachers, TAs and support staff. A special thanks to Mr West who went out of breath blowing up balloons! What fun we all had!
The most obvious message from the event: team work rocks! When we work as a team, anything is possible!
We are looking forward to more fun and learning-filled weeks of activities again this term.
